About Instructor
Karl Susman has been working in the insurance industry since 1992. He has acted as an Agent, Broker and Insurance Expert Witness for complex litigation cases in both state and federal court. He has multiple courses approved for continuing education by the California Bar Association. Having a deep love for all things insurance, he claims to have Insurance in his DNA since almost all family members have worked in the industry. Both parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, spouse all having experience in the insurance business. Always continuing to further his knowledge for his favorite industry, he has collected many of the proverbial alphabet soup designations for insurance professionals including CPCU, LUTCF, CIC, API, AIS, CSFP, AINS, CLTC, CFS, FEPS and more.
He feels fortunate to be in the insurance industry and loves passing on his wealth of knowledge to anyone willing, or not willing on occasion to listen. He also enjoys creating online webinars for consumers to watch to help distill complex insurance topics down to something relatable. He has also sat on multiple independent insurance agency councils as well as serving as a board of director for the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, Los Angeles chapter. Currently, Karl is the President of Susman Insurance Services, Inc. an independent insurance brokerage in Southern California and the Principal of Expert Witness Professionals, LLC.
